Splitting Stereo Waveforms for 2700 Series and ATS-2 GPIB Instruments

Created 17 Aug 2010

Question:

How can I split a stereo (.ags) waveform file into two mono (.agm) files so that they can be loaded via GPIB?

Answer:

The ATS-2 and 2700 Series GPIB implementation requires that waveforms loaded into the analog and digital Arbitrary waveform buffers be mono files. Many of the sample waveforms provided for the two instruments are Stereo. The “Split Stereo Waveform” download contains two macros, one for each instrument, that can be used to split the stereo waveform into mono files.
